Recommended by Oncologists.
Leading medical organizations—including the American Institute for Cancer Research, the American Cancer Society, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services—recommend at least 150 minutes of physical activity, such as yoga, each week, along with two days of strength training, to support cancer recovery and reduce recurrence risk. Oncologists now regularly refer patients to yoga as part of their comprehensive care plans.
However, not all yoga is appropriate, safe or effective for cancer survivors. Our Oncology Yoga Certificate Program prepares professionals with the clinical knowledge, scientific research, and practical tools needed to safely guide survivors—bridging the gap between yoga and oncology care.
Designed for Professionals.
This advanced training has trained over 3,000 yoga professionals worldwide. It is designed for certified yoga teachers or therapists with a minimum of 200 hours of foundational training that want to ensure their skills provide a safe and effective support.
Professionals from all styles and lineages are welcome.
Participants should be comfortable with technology, self-paced learning, and taking personal responsibility for self-study online format.
The program is delivered in English. However, many international students have successfully used translation tools like Google Translate to support their learning in other languages.
