The yoga4cancer Certificate Program is designed to be flexible and self-paced—supporting diverse schedules, time zones, and learning styles across our global community. It features rolling admission, which means you can start whenever it best suits your schedule, and study at your own pace.
Program access is for 12 months upon date of registration. So you have have full control over how you study, practice, and learn each week. That said, we’ve developed recommendations based on 20+ years of experience to help you stay on track and get the most out of your training.
A Progressive Approach to Learning
Our program follows a progressive learning model, which builds skills and knowledge in a logical sequence. This approach prioritizes how to think—not just what to memorize. Each of the eight modules builds on the one before it, and must be completed in order. This structure supports critical thinking, comprehension, and real-world application of Oncology Yoga. Learn more about our commitment to develop critical thinking.
- No skipping ahead! This isn’t just a rule—it’s a proven method to ensure your success.
Recommended Study Pace for the 75 Hours of Curriculum:
To complete the 75-hour curriculum with confidence and clarity, we recommend the following pace:
- 4–8 hours per week
- Over 3–5 months
- With consistent, weekly engagement
Ideally, your study schedule should be contiguous—meaning regular, uninterrupted learning. Taking long breaks between modules can disrupt your flow, reduce retention, and lead to the need to revisit earlier content.
Additional Tips for Success:
- Stick to the sequence. Each module builds foundational knowledge for the next. Following the order is essential to understanding the method as a whole.
- Do not cram content or program. It will impact your comprehension, experience and ultimately the quality of support you can provide to cancer patients and survivors.
- Reading the Manual. The +330-page Training Manual is an essential companion to the online program. For best results, read it alongside your online studies as directed in the course. Do not read ahead or lag behind.
- Avoid long gaps. Extended pauses may require reviewing earlier material to refresh your understanding.
- Rolling admission. As you can start whenever it suits you and move through the lessons on your own schedule, we recommend you evaluate a time that is most suitable to achieve the recommended schedule.
- Program Extensions – If, during your program, you fall behind and worry about completing by the 1 year deadline, we can provide an extension option for either 3 or 6 months. This will require administrative and technical fee. Please review the Program Terms and Conditions.
