Resume and Expand All: How best to navigate the online learning system?

There are many tools and suggestions on how to access or navigate the online learning system. Learning these simple steps will help save time and potentially avoid frustration.

On your program or course page, there are two ways to navigate to either past lessons or jump to the next one required.

  • Expand All‘ – On the right hand about the learning system, there is an ‘Expand All’ function. By clicking ‘Expand All‘ you can see the entire program. All the modules and sub topics. Please note the green check marks in circles. Those that are green have been completed. Those that are grey are yet to be completed. You can then click the topic that you want to review. (Please note you cannot access topics ahead of your current progress.)
  • RESUME button – Use the RESUME button to help you ‘jump’ to the next topic.

Explore the Online Program Menu!

Whilst in the learning program, there is a menu on the left that fully outlines your course. Each and every topic you will complete is visible (but not accessible as you need to complete earlier topics). This menu is an excellent roadmap to review what you have done and where you might be going.

  • Each program is structured in Modules and sub Topics. These topics must be completed before progressing forward into other Modules.
  • Use the arrow in a circle next to the ‘Topics’ to expand or contract the topics menu for each module. For example in the 2025 Program Orientation Module, please note the ’12 Topics’. Click this grey circle with an arrow to collapse or expand the topics in the module. You can repeat this for the other modules.
  • The program is structured so that you’re introduced to concepts at the start and deepen your understanding as you move forward. You will not be able to jump forward to those future topics. But this tool enables you to sneak peek on topics coming up.
  • Completing each topic (and module) is required to move forward. Most times this completion process is automated with watching videos, assignments or quizzes. But there are occasions when you will have to manually select ‘Complete’.
  • Going Green! Once you have completed topics or modules, the circle will turn green and contain a check mark. Please notice the earlier topics in the Orientation are now green not grey. This means you have successfully completed that topic and can proceed. If the circle is empty and grey, you have not completed the required tasks.
