Worksheet – Managing Potential Yoga Risks for Cancer Patients and Survivors

An underlining objective of the Certificate Program is helping yoga professionals develop critical thinking so they can best apply their training and experience to serve a wide range of physical, emotional and mental needs of cancer patients and survivors.

Part of this skill development is exploring what risks yoga may contain for the cancer population and to provide skills and support to evaluate them or modify. This includes identifying ways that individuals prior training, experience or understanding might not be best applied to this unique cancer community.

Below is a sample of a worksheet that accompanies both reading and events to explore these ‘yoga risks’ and modifications. Submitting worksheets are required to progress through the course.

Please note that we understand this is a challenging sample exercise without participating in the program but we hope that it helps identify things that you might not be aware of and that further training is needed.
