Fears and Concerns

Facing our fears is an important step toward deepening an understanding of what cancer patients and survivors experience and thus, what they need from practice. When a yoga class or session is based on clear knowledge and informed compassion without one’s own fear and ego clouding judgement, that creates opportunity for survivors to receive the most benefit.

This exercise will explore how fears and concerns might prevent your evolution as an oncology yoga professional. We are not meant to ignore our fears and concerns, nor deny them. Rather, it’s important to show up to them, acknowledge where fears come from, dispel the myths or power that we give to them, and learn how to best serve others with the facilitation of this work.
